Children are our future themed theoretical and practical conference

Theoretical and practical conference “Children are our future” initiated by the MGP was successfully organized on 6th of July 2018 at the “Circle” hall of the Government Building number 11. In the framework of the theoretical and practical conferences, speakers and young greens talked about the violation of the rights of the children in Mongolia, the lack of legal regulation, weak monitoring and lack of government policies and enforcement. In particular, we discussed the seriousness of the loss of children and horses during the Naadam. We concluded that serious violations of the rights and freedoms of children are serious. We are grateful for this timely proposal, initiative, and social activism of the Mongolian Green Party. Party leaders, conferences, and councils will always support young people and our young greens.

On the occasion of the 28th Anniversary of the Mongolian Green Party, a conference on the practice of Poverty and New constitution was organized.

Theoretical and practical conference on “Poverty and New Constitution” was held for the 28th anniversary of the establishment of the Mongolian Green Party. The participants discussed the issue of poverty reduction and unemployment, which were not reflected in the constitution today. The MPRP, initiated by the new Constitution, and the CWGP and MNDP leaders who participated, expressed their position in the conference. The key issue of the new constitution was the development of the health and education sector, to provide citizens with housing, and to supervise citizens in government, said party leaders.

Mr. Boum-Yalagch (Chair of MGP):

During the drafting of the new Constitution, the study identified 10 leading social issues. This leads to unemployment and poverty. However, in 1992, when the current Constitution was adopted, poverty was not reflected in the current situation, as it did not reach the level of disaster. Therefore, the New Law requires a comprehensive poverty reduction policy. In this direction we are gathering and discussing other parties’ positions. For example, a recent congressional conference convened. What I say is that mega projects, the development of companies paying taxes, etc. That’s right. However, in order to develop the economy, it is important to keep our people in control and poverty. So, in this meeting, we had to talk about the real life of our citizens. It is imperative for this direction.

No one thought that the city would be built at the dumpsite when it approved the Constitution today. No one thought the 27-year-old would buy Erdenet factory, which feeds Mongolia. Nobody thought that one out of every three people would be deeply deprived. This Constitution does not apply. The Minister is pushing the heads. So what we are putting into our New Constitution is to give the people the government of the occupied power. Let the people choose the judges who are in the hands of several groups. There are just a few fraudsters eating and drinking mineral resources. The father of money is educated. The wealthy people who show hospitals are separate and poor. The government has been hijacked by oligarchic groups.

Scott Ludlam: One of Australian minister made phone call to Prime Minister of Mongolia to say “Rio Tinto” can not be taxed

Our country has a multi-party system and parliamentary governance. As a politician, how does Mongolia evaluate the political situation?

As a politician, let me tell you my first impression about Mongolia. Mongolian politics is similar to Australian politics. Of course, there are many different things. Therefore, the main point is that Mongolia is among the two countries, not democratic itself. The current constitution of the Mongolia seems good, but it is too frightening and overwhelming. Public institutions to enforce and enforce laws are rotten and internal activities are not clear. In other words, it works like a big spider netting. Because of this, the law is not enforced.

How can we get out of this situation? Is there a way? Mongols are not fighting people. But it seems to be ineffective?

This is not only in Mongolia. There are so many problems in the world. But the outcome is for the people. As I have seen and understood, other parties that are not seated in parliament should work together to save their country. This will be the gateway to your own question. It can only be decided by the people. Mongolians do not see that the struggle is ineffective. There are Mongolians with their mother tongue. So it does not work. Perhaps real results are likely to be seen in the parliamentary elections in 2020. All the demonstrations and gatherings in the society today are all the results. If you  sit down and do nothing, you will not succeed.

The Spring session of Parliament will discuss the Constitution amendment law. You even say that the Constitution is inadequate. What changes can be made to the new law?

You need to ask one thing before you can change the constitution. The revised Constitution of the Constitution can not change for 100 years. At that time, all those who approved this constitution did not. The Mongolians must first ask themselves if they are to approve the constitution by initiating a few groups of people, or to protect the fate of Mongolia for 100 years. Also, Mongolians need laws to ensure that natural resources are reflected in the people’s law, but that the people are able to own or benefit from it. Implementation conditions should be provided. The constitution is an important document in any country. So the provisions of the Constitution in life and in society do not become unnecessary.

Implementation of law in Mongolia is insufficient. The reason for this is. Is the law enforcement and enforcement agencies wrong?

It’s hard for me to say that he’s wrong and right. The US Constitution is 200 years old, but it is a law lacking. It’s very difficult to change it. The Constitution of our country also has a lot of problems. Difficult to make changes. But in Mongolia, it is possible to change the constitution. Enhancement and change of law is sufficient.

One of the major projects attracting the world’s attention is the Oyu Tolgoi project. The dispute in this project is still ineffective and there are problems. In relation to the project, we have started to take responsibility. Did you say that you are criticized for this?

Oyu Tolgoi is saying that the resource curse is in full force in other countries. Because of the Rio Tinto companies operating on the Oyu Tolgoi project, they are systematically operating bribes to change their fate. A percentage of the money invested in money is given by a politician and a lawmaker in their own form to bribe them. There is a lot of corruption in the Oyu Tolgoi project. It’s just like Australia 10 years ago. So we are investigating this problem. If Mongolians check out like this, there is a big deal of bribery. Earlier, Bob Brown, former leader of the Green Party and former Senate, presented the secret code of $ 1 billion for Oyu Tolgoi to Mongolia. Now this material is missing. My copy will focus on finding this document.

The original copy was sent to several people. You can not find the original copy now. Some sources say that Mongolian intelligent department has it . Any chance to get this document?

This document will be disclosed.

The Mongolian people are lost and confused. How much will it be worth to solve the problem?

The world economy is divided into two. One is to feed themselves until they have finished their own natural resources. The other side is more intellectually involved. When they enter the technology business, they move into the economy and drive the country. Intellectual creation and intellectual wealth never become exhausted. So, let’s say Mongolians leave their natural resources and focus more on their intellectual wealth. Better to live and develop your intellectual wealth, instead of OT.

Scott Ludlam: Corruption in approving OYUTOLGOI contracts

The co-leader of the Australian green party, Sen. Scott Ludlam, Senator of the congress from 2008 to 2013, is visiting Mongolia at the invitation of the Mongolian Green Party. During this visit, the press conference held its position.

As the Oyu Tolgoi agreement was in a state of affairs, members of the parliamentary opposition to the contract at that time became minorities and most of them supported the issue. In view of recent developments in Mongolia, critics argue that some of the ministers signed by Oyu Tolgoi have been accused of bribery.

Scott Ludlam has been senator in the Australian parliament for nine years. His goal in Mongolia is related to the world’s democracy and the books of greens. He is leader of no nuke movement, in that case he ask stop exploration uranium in Mongolia during his first visit in Mongolia. Similarly, Mongolia and Australia are operating similar systems in uranium mining companies that lost their country of origin. Therefore, the press conference was aimed at expressing its position. During his stay in Mongolia, he met with the French company “Areva” in the Gobi Desert. He criticized the French company “Areva” to renovate uranium mining in the Gobi desert in the name of “Oreno”. They employ very poor technology to extract uranium. Its harm is 10-20 years later, not tomorrow. In many parts of South America and around the world there is a lot of harm to it. This activity should be stopped not only in Mongolia but also throughout the world. Because of this situation in Australia, Mongolia’s social and political situation has also changed. Corruption and bribery have a negative impact on democracy. Mongolians must pay attention. Specifically, the mining company is investing heavily in the country. Most of them are accredited in the legal environment and politicians are attracted to them. “He emphasized the fight against it. For example, he said that “Rio Tinto” is facing a $ 1 billion problem that may have caused corruption in the Mongolian parliament. “In 2008,” Ivanhoe Mines “shareholder’s meeting was held, and one billion USD was allocated to the Mongolian legal environment and to adults and decision-makers. These papers and documents will soon be introduced to Mongolians. We are working on that. ”
